The Gentle Art...

Jiu Jitsu is known as the Gentle Art.  It is gentle in that minimum effort on the part of the practitioner produces maximum effect.  It is gentle in that the practitioner becomes knowledgeable of many ways to disolve a situation.  It is gentle in that the practitioner is able to choose what sort of technique is sufficient and fitting for a given conflict.  The theory is this: if one so desired, one could fully defend himself in an Armani Suit... and not wrinkle it. Mad tight huh?  That's just the beginning...
