Gooooood Morning!
How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Yes, time is drawing to a
close here. Soon my time in Texas will come to an end. Meanwhile.... GONNA HAVE
FUN! heh heh. This past weekend, two of me potnas and I went on a road trip to
Austin and San Antonio, and various other places along the way and back. It was
AWESOME. Austin is tight, San Antonio is tighter. But San Antonio is more of a
tourist place where as Austin is liveable. Both places have excitement and
plenty to do, though San Antonio has a tad more. Actually, if I had to compare
San Antonio to another city, I'd say it looks sort of like NYC or Manhattan, but
nicer looking and a lil hotter. Lots of young people around as well. mmhmmm.

Scripture.
Kyoo, I read James. James is awesome, but here is a profound verse,
James 1:13,14
13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For
God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but
each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged
away and enticed.
When temptation comes, some peeps say that Pops is tempting them. Actually,
sometimes they try to say Pops is "testing" them. In any case, think about what
that is saying. Pops, who is supposed to be all that is good, all that is truth,
and all that is love.... is tempting me. That's ludicrous, heh heh. Ain't no
way. When we decide to do sumtim and it's not in Pops direction, that's all us,
and maybe a lil' bit of the evil one giving us a slight nudge. Our desire can
allow us to be caught in some elaborate snare. Also, our desire can allow us to
be caught by sumtim so simple. When we allow that desire to take over, whoa.
You know how a guy and a girl fall in "love" and go goo goo? They'll do
anything for each other and such, and hence are dubbed the term (heh heh heh)
whupped? Sometimes they can't think straight and do strange things. That's how
this is almost like verse almost like. Desire is that thing that causes us to
lose focus at times. And if we lose that focus and can't think straight, we can
easily be dragged away and enticed. so, it is by our own hand that we slip,
because, after all, we make a decision. "Then, after desire has conceived, it
gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death" (James
1:15). Those prospects aren't too enticing. me no wanna conceive nothin that
gives birth to sumtim whose adult form gives birth to death. no way jose,
methinks i'll pass. heh heh. no doubt. Aight yo....
Time ta bizounce. Gotta get some work done. A week and a half left up in

Morning!
Howdy? heh heh. Me? I am a little tired. Haven't been getting much
sleep as of late. And it doesn't look like I'll get it the rest of this week
either. So I gots ta figure sumtim out, some way to take da power 15... yall
know what i mean, the 15 minute power nap AWWWWW YEAAHHHHH!!! maybe it'll work
this time. heh heh. aight, on to scripture.
Today (kyoo), I read many things from both old and new. I learned a lot of
stuff, its kinda tight. But I'm going to write about Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I
am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold
you with my righteous right hand.
Now Pops was speaking to da nation of Israel here. And He was talking about
all kinds of stuff. But this right here, man I thought thath was mad tight. He
told them not to fear. They don't have to fear jack yo! And the reason is
because Pops is with them. With them! That's awesome. Then He says do not be
dismayed. Why? Cuz He is their God. Then Pops promises to strengthen them and
help them, aaaaaaand uphold them. So checkit: no fear, slap dismay in the face
and tell it to take a hike, Pops is with ya, Pops will strengthen ya, Pops will
help ya, and Pops will uphold ya. Man, that's mad benefits. And all are great
things. But... is Pops your God? Is he with you? Man cuz if Pops ain't our
God, then how can He be with us? How can he be with us if we don't let him
speak to us? Naw, ya see, Pops has to be your God, personal to you, and you
personal to Him. If He is your God, then He is with you. If he is with you, man
you can bust open a can o' whuppin on fear and dismay, and you can bank on the
fact that Pops will strengthen you, help you, and uphold you, buhlee dat! But,
He's got to be your God. Let's make it a personal and real relationship. And
then..... BAAAAAAAM! AWWWW YEAAAAH, tag team, back again!

Yo yo yO,
What up potnas? How are things? Well, for me, I'm about to bounce up out
of here. mmhmmmmm. In fact, manana is my last day working. I leave friday
mornining to go back to MIT. The summer has been great, lots of things to
remember (though not as many pictures...drat!). Anywho, on to Scripture.
Today I read Acts 19. There are many a tight thing in this chapter. One of
them I think I already wrote about. The verses I am talking about are 11-20.
You should read it. Anywho, verese 11 is the focus of today. Checkit
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul,
Verse 12 goes on to describe a couple o' these mad tight miracles. So what is
so tight about this verse? oooh maaaaan.....
Read it again. "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul,"... So, who
did extraordinary miracles? Pops did yo. It wasn't Paul who did them, it was
Pops. Sometimes peeps confuse things that Pops does with what a person does.
People could have easily fell into the trap of saying, "Yo, Paul just did that!
How man? mad tiiiight." But in actuallity, it was God who did that. The only
thing Paul did was allow Pops to work through him. He allowed Pops into his
life and let Him do some PHAT things! Man, that could be us as well. We just
gotta let Pops do his thing nawmean? We gotta let Him in, allow him to change
us in ways we never would have known. And then God will do AWESOME things
through us. And the best part, we be chillin. See, God does da work, we just
let him do it through us. Imagine how many lives will change just from allowing
Pops to do things through you? It Brings glory to Him and it saves souls!
That's a two for one deal yo! (And, heh heh, as yall know, I'm all for two for
one deals... especially when it comes to food, oooohhhh yeaaaahh). But this is
spiritual two for one. And you know what else? This two for one leads to
things eternal. That's neverending man. How tight is that? Pops will work
through us, He will do Awesome things through us, and alls we gots ta do is
allow Him in, and chiiiiiill, heh heh. But man, if we don't allow him in, we
could catch a butt whuppin (observe verses 13-16). Them kats thought they could
do these awesome things as well. Here is what they said
13 ...They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I
command you to come out."
Now when Paul said it, he spoke like this, "YO! In da name of Jesus, you best
best be comin out!" What is the difference? Paul knew the Lord. He didn't
say, in the name of Jesus, whom the 12 disciples preaches, come out. No, he
said in the name of Jesus, come out. So da Lord was not known to these kats in
verse 13. He wasn't in them. And so, he was not personal to them and they
referred to him in the "third" person. How Pops gonna do awesome things through
them....if they do not KNOW him? So potnas, key here is allow Pops to do a work
in you. Allow him to reveal to you awesome things, and change you in ways you
never knew.

take a look see at verses 11 - 20. It's pretty tight, and a lil humurous as
